Bambi is a 1942 American animated drama film directed by David Hand (supervising a team of sequence directors) and produced by Walt Disney, based on Austrian author and hunter Felix Salten’s 1923 book Bambi, a Life in the Woods. [4][5] RKO Radio Pictures released the film on August 13, 1942, and it is the fifth Disney animated feature film.
